Summer Band Camp at Raue Center
Summer Band Camp comes to Raue Center!
Piano Trends Music & Band will provide both a beginning band and 7th/8th-grade level camp conducted by district 47 band director Mark Kahovec and Piano Trends Staff.
Instruments for beginners included in the fee if needed. Learn basics and sharpen your skills in these fun-filled music camps this summer. Students will work together as an ensemble and perform music they learn during the week!
Session 1
5th and 6th graders
Dates: July 30 thru August 3rd
Time: 9am – 10am
Location: 140 W Terra Cotta Ave, Crystal Lake, IL
5th and 6th Grade band:
Students can expect to work on 2-3 pieces of music each day for a week. During the week, other teachers, high school helpers, and local area professional musicians will sit in and play with the students to model tone, notes, and rhythms. On the final day of camp, there will be a brief performance of the pieces that were worked on during the week.
Session 2
7th and 8th graders
Dates: July 30 thru August 3rd
Time: 10:30am – noon
Location: 140 W Terra Cotta Ave. Crystal Lake, IL
7th and 8th-grade bands:
Students can expect to work on 2-3 pieces of music each day for a week. During this time there will be full band rehearsal as well as breakout sessions with high school helpers, other teachers, or professional musician helpers. On the final day of camp, there will be a brief performance of the pieces that were worked on during the week.
