CHILL - Musicians of the Mart 2019

CHILL 2019 has come and gone but will be long remembered by all who attended as well as all who performed. Thousands of dollars were raised for CHILL Charities Respiratory Health Association, Lynn Sage Foundation and Saturday Place. The Food and wine were better than ever and the entertainment was once again the most unqiue and with a record number of performers sitting in for a tune or two.

Piano Trends Music Company once again brought in 6 grand pianos including the two Baldwin Blue Grand Pianos that have been at all 13 CHILL Events. Piano Trends' owners Tim and Bobbi Paul have provided pianos and musicians for every CHILL Event since its inception. This includes more than 100 differnet musicans from grammy winners to rock n roll legends. This year was the best year yet even though past CHILL musicians included members of Foreigner and tribute bands like Carole King and Journey performing in recent years. A record for number of musicians was set as 20 different musicians performed at one point during the evening in 2019. Music for Charity working together.

There were three artists tributes. Lindsey Stirling tribute was performed by Jason Bruno and Lisa Perfors on Violin

The Carpenters Tribute Group "Close To You" brought Karen Carpenter's voice and Richard Carpenter's keyboard skills to life throught the vocals of Lisa Rock and the piano of Ken McMullen.

Felix and Fingers Dueling Pianos brought the house down with a Rocketman tribute to Elton John to conclude the evening. There was even an unplanned surpise encore with Mike Sherman of Felix and Fingers backing Country Singing star Olivia Dvorak on a couple of cover tunes including Let it Go and Landslide.

Other performers through the evening on piano, string and brass included Tim Paul, Kevin Koprowski, Ray Young, Donovan Norman, Tom Vos, Lexi Hagedorn, Kassandra Phelan, Jim Gritche, Robert Deason, Adam Huckeby, Aldren Briones, A special highlight was the impromtu Dueling Piano version of SANTA BABY on the Blues with Mike Potts and Tim Paul on the keys.
